Over the years, I’ve entered numerous digital photography contests, but I never learned if my images even placed. Then, with encouragement from several fellow photographers. I decided to submit my work to the competition at the Amarillo fair. To my delight, I won Best in Show for the portrait I entered, along with a blue ribbon for my photojournalism submission.
