Why tennis works so well

Tennis is fast, precise, and intense, but most tennis photos don't show that — they're taken from fifty feet away through a fence. In the studio we flip it: black background, the athlete in their gear with their actual racket, lighting built to catch focus and follow-through. Then the ball gets the fire treatment in the composite, frozen mid-flight like it just came off a 90-mph serve.
